May 17, the West Central Cluster is having a workshop concerning the Marriage Protection Amendment and what we should do about it. Joe Saunders, Statewide Field Director of Fairness for All Families, will participate. We will generate ideas on how each congregation can address this amendment and how we can work with other faith communities. See flyer for more info.

The workshop will be at the UUs of Clearwater and will last from 10:00 a.m. to noon.

May 28, is our annual UU Renewal Service at the UUs of Clearwater. Rob Eller-Isaacs has been a UU minister since 1976, he was ordained by the Unitarian Society of Whittier, California. In 1982 he became the first UUA urban extension minister serving in Oakland. His wife and co-minister, Janne Eller-Isaacs joined him there in 1986. In 2000 they became co-ministers of Unity Church-Unitarian in St. Paul, Minnesota. Rob has served the UUA as chair of the Committee on Urban Concerns and Ministry. He has served as President of Project Harvest Hope, and currently serves as President of the UU Minister’s Association.

June 28 the West Central Cluster will once again be an official sponsor of St. Pete Pride. We will staff a booth and march in the parade. All are welcome to join us for this exciting event.

The West Central Cluster will kick off the 08/09 church year with the annual cluster picnic at the Spirit of Life UUs, Odessa in October.
